EPA Institute’s CECP Program offers recognition to those environmental professionals who have proven their knowledge and skills within the environmental arena and support that with the education and experience to be called a Certified Environmental Compliance Pratitioner.

Managing and overseeing environmental operations requires extensive knowledge of air, water and waste issues; proven field skills, education and a core competence of environmental awareness. The CECP is a professional who has demonstrated through extensive training and field experience his/her ability to identify and assess environmental risks, mitigate or eliminate those risks, and manages the impact on life, environment, property, and company reputation all while complying with the numerous environmental laws of 40CFR. CECPs provide proper controls for managing environmental data and reporting, managing company environmental plans, managing environmental systems and performing the necessary duties of a environmental professional. They apply risk-based knowledge, engineering technologies, and best management practices in compliance with all regulatory requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Coast Guard, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) and other regulatory bodies including state and local entities that regulate environmental activities and enforce environmental laws and regulations.
